Pre-Shabbat

As we didn't get to bed until about 3am, I didn't even think I was running this morning. We had breakfast with the family and then left Be'er Sheva. The trip from Be'er Sheva to Herzliya was about an hour. My cousins taught me a new car game that I wish I had known as a kid. One person asks trivia questions. If the other person doesn't get the answer correct, the asker slaps the answerer. This turned into hilarity.

Upon arriving in Herzliya, our cousin picked us up and brought us back to the house to chill until dinner. We had pizza with corn on it for lunch (vindicating Rami once again) and the best rugelach I ever had for dessert. (I'm not a big fan of the rugelach we get in the states as it is too cookie-like and hard. This rugelach was more like a croissant with chocolate in it.) We watched the football (soccer) game, and just generally enjoyed a calm afternoon.

For dinner, we headed up to the house of a cousin who lives by Haifa in the north. As usual, the dinner there was fantastic. I had a great time with my cousins, including the youngest one who was so excited to show me all of his firetruck toys and to give me the picture that he drew me when I sent him a shirt from my fire department.

I was too tired after dinner to g clubbing with my cousin and sister, and they came back saying that it was a good thing I was. Apparently the club was ridculously smoke-filled, and my asthma wouldn't have lasted 2 minutes in there.
